Thank you for allowing me to join the group. I’m a newbie painter. Hopefully I’ll get the courage to post some of my paintings. I need a lot of practice, practice, practice. I found you on YouTube and you are the best instructor I’ve seen. Yay!

Thank you for adding me to this group as a newbie painter.  You are both inspirational and a good teacher.  As an experienced B&W photographer, your emphasis on values and edges resonates with me, especially in your video using a monochrome reference photo.  Love the time you spend discussing how to use reference photos.

Thank you so much for allowing me to be a member of this site. I found you this morning when watching you on iTunes. I was struggling with a group of trees in acrylic. It's funny I can produce a group of trees in other mediums but trees acrylic are stumping me. Thank you so much anyway.

Hello everyone.  I recently joined this site.  My painting instructor gave me the link and I am very excited to find the great videos and challenges.  I look forward to uploading my paintings and getting your feedback.  I am relatively new to painting.  I had four years of art in High School but that was eons ago.  I started painting again about six months ago with instruction for the last three months, twice a month.  I am loving soaking up all I can about acrylics.  I have dabbled with watercolors but find acrylics a forgiving paint as Karen says.

Thank you so much Karen, that means I can continue to learn....( I hope my English is good enough) I really like your page and your way to "play" with the colours and your way to give life to a scene, a picture

Karen I really like the way you teach, down to earth. I have met so many nice people and had good constructive comments. This painting is a new hing for me, I was used to cartoons back in the mid 70's. I had to medically retire 4 years ago and this is a real stress relief for me. Thank to one and all for making this a pleasure in art. Thank you one and all.
