Wet vs Dry - Acrylics Dry Darker - The Proof!

Wet vs Dry - Acrylics Dry Darker - The Proof!

So one of the things we deal with when painting with acrylics is that they dry darker then they seem when they are wet.

How many times have you walked away from a canvas thinking your highlights are just right, your value…

I'm Not a Creative Person

I've been thinking a lot about the role of creativity in our lives, and why I paint and teach painting.

It feels more important to me that anything I have done. And yet, we are just making pretty pictures, right?

Our Late Spring Challenge is heavy on the greens, so I thought this might be a good time to put down some info about painting with them. Sometimes people get discouraged by the all green landscapes of spring and…

I'd Rather Walk Over Hot Coals!

Receiving and giving honest constructive critiques is one of the best tools I have found for learning to paint!

Ugh Taxes.

So one of the things you don't really think about when starting to sell your paintings. TAXES! I spend a good week every year trying to pull together my sales and expense info in order to do my taxes. The funny part of this is that I am a bookkeeper in my day job!
