Acrylic on canvas, 36cm x 48 cm.At the beginning this was only a small exercice to paint textured stones and door.Then I decided to add people to make the painting more alive. I kept the loose style to paint the two aged people.

Philippe - we are not supposed to critique works posted in the "photo" section, that is why I have hesitated.  If you block off the left side of  "Explosions" along the diagonal line of the background value shift, you will see a very nice, cheerful painting on the right side.  Now block off the right side along the same line.  The left side of the painting is quite drab by comparison, with lots of mid values but no light values except a few streaks of white.  There is no unity between the two sides of the canvas.  I think you need some bold light values on the left side to give it more life and provide a better sense of unity.
