This was a color mixing exercise on a 16"x24" grid - in acrylics, where no two exact colors could touch on any of the square or diagonal lines.  I'm finished for now but would love any and all…Continue

Sooo, I hear your area is now a tourist hot spot for the big spenders!  Gonna put out a booth and sell some paintings?

Daughter in Durham has no power, but the outage map indicates our area of Raleigh is OK.  Lots of local flooding in low lying areas and creeks - features we were careful to avoid while home shopping.

Hi Mary,

You said what I was thinking about...I wasn't sure if I should make the evergreen trees darker. I think if I make them darker it will also create a little more distance in the painting, too. Before I do anything though, I think I will post it in the Discussions area and see what others think.

Thank you again Mary for your viewpoints on this, it is always good to hear from others. :)

Hello Mary,

thanks for your comment. I think it is due to the viewing point, as i started the painting i had quite a high viewing point, eýe level probably horizon level.

Please do free to send me your comments as these do help to look at ones paintings from a different perspective, many thanks.

I will have a look again at the painting in a few weeks and see if i see also differently.

Take care and all the best wishes

Gary

I know what you mean Mary about the back arrow not sending you back to the same place on the Activity Feed. Unfortunately I don't have a way to fix that, it's just the way it is set up. I'm not able to rewrite the code on the website - it's  platform that is already made and so all I can do is wait for them to do upgrades. Which they don't do often! But they do have one in the works that may be coming out soon and hopefully they will address that issue :) I often just go directly to the "Photos" tab or the "Discussions" tab to see what is new all in one place.

Sounds good Mary -

Also, you will want to reply to the message in your inbox, instead of posting a comment to my wall like this. That will keep our conversation all in one place.

Hi Mary,

We will be using the messaging function to work on your Personal Tutor project.

There is a box on the top right hand corner of each page on the site where you can see your name. Under that inside the box you will see "inbox", "alerts", "friends" and "settings"

If you click on "inbox" you will go to a page that shows our messages. You can click on the "sent" tab to see what you have sent me if I haven't replied yet.

If I have replied, it will be in your inbox.

does that help?
