Thank you for the nice comments.

 I was having trouble remembering how to mix the colours I used while doing a painting so I decided to make colour cards as suggested by Karen, I managed to find a supplier where I could buy 6mm wide masking tape and made 2cm square for each colour swatch, the cards are mounted using Velcro to a MDF board fitted on casters. It has been a big project but I think well worth it.
