"One does not fully understand the options we have with a limited number of colours without doing an exercise like this.  Very nicely done! "

Thank you for the nice comments. I was having trouble remembering how to mix the colours I used while doing a painting so I decided to make colour cards as suggested by Karen, I managed to find a supplier where I could buy 6mm wide masking tape and made 2cm square for each colour swatch, the cards are mounted using Velcro to a MDF board fitted on casters. It has been a big project but I think well worth it.See More

"Thanks for the explanation Ivan. We call those places a run off. When the spring snow melts, it runs off the mountains and hills."

" Love the sketch Corri, I find sketching very difficult when I see sketches such as yours I want to get the pencils and pad out of the draw and start practicing again. Lovely work."

"Thank you for your comments, perhaps it should not be called a river bed as water only flows down these water-courses after heavy rain storms. Central Australia is quite arid and from time to time may not see any rain fall for 2 or more years. "
