Somewhere Quiet

I used a photo I took while walking Discovery Trail in my neighbourhood. Although the area is filled with homes, yards, fences and paved roads, I wanted to paint something quiet and serene so I did this in pastels making the roadways dirt, only one old building and a lot of trees.

This is beautiful, Wanda and I think you do a wonderful job with pastels.  This reminds me of an old english countryside painting....

this is great! so inviting :)  i dont know how you do it! it is inviting me in, yet i feel i am already there. seems i can feel the warm air on as i am walking the pathway.
