Learn to paint in Acrylic paints - Step by Step
Painting #9. Nov/Dec 2016. 8X10 acrylic. My first attempt at a still life using a reference photo. I liked the lack of strong color because it made me pay attention to value.

Deborah, I have this thing for light colored pumpkins. This is so soft and inviting. You did a great job on this.

Beautiful work Deborah!
wonderful, wonderful painting. Great tonal values and love the low key winter coming feel.
Agreed. I think this is gorgeous. Well done. Wish I could paint like that! x
This is absolutely fabulous...wow...I love the limited palette and excellent detailing!!!
Deborah - this is amazing! You have done a wonderful job of conveying all of the various textures and I like the soft light. This is so well done!
I love all the details which show the time which passes by. Very well done Deborah!
You have done very well here Deborah, I very much like this style of painting which may convey a message but to me they all ways have a hidden story too tell.
This painting is in the Hopper style and at the moment I am reading a book on some of Hoppers paintings which the Author has invited various Authors to write a short story on a selected painting.
Well done.
I agree with Mary and Wenda. Great values and light. Your peeling paint effect is amazing.
