In case if someone is interested in looking at the work in progress of my painting. This painting takes a long long time to paint. Let's say 30 hours

I really appreciate seeing your progress photo's Philippe.  Your work inspires me also to improve my drawing as Wenda said.

Thanks Wenda and Sarah! I'm glad you like my WIPs.

Wenda, indeed a good drawing is often a necessary stage of a painting. Let me tell my three essential tips (you'll certainly find others) :

1/ When I'm drawing from life or from a photo, I have a mental grid with vertical and horizontal lines to place correctly the details of the drawing.

2/ A complex curve (for example a face, a body, folds...) is impossible to replicate correctly. Therefore I simplify the curve by a serie of straight lines.

3/ For each straight line I verify the angle: my line must be parallel to those of the reference

Have fun Wenda!
