Thank you so much Deborah, Wenda, and Karen! I really appreciate your kind words. (I hope I'm posting this in the right place, lol.)
Nicely done Sandy! It looks like she is very happy sitting in the sun surveying her world :)
Nice job with your values - darkest in the kitty and lightening up into the background. Nice composition in your placement of the kitty and with "leading lines" drawing our eye to her. The fur has lovely texture and variation in color. She seems soft and cuddly. Just the right amount of detail there! Not painting each hair, but describing the shape and texture with a few strokes. Very nice!
well done Sandy! lovely Kitty! :) nice palette!
This reminds of stories and illlustrations from childhood books, I don't know why. I love the feeling though.
Thank you very much, ladies!
Mary, I'm thrilled you noticed! :) I used a lot of thalo blue (green tint) in her coat, which I would never have imagined doing a few months ago. So much to learn about blending colors!
Thanks, Sarah. She's my sweetheart. I have three other feline sweethearts--all rescues--that I'll have to try painting next. :)
Micki, I have such a hard time figuring out shadows, so thanks for giving me hope. :)
This is great. I especially love the cool shadows. Window sill and cat. Very nice.
Wow - what a beauty. Your cat is beautiful. Great job for such a small piece!
Nice work Sandy - I especially like how you managed the green tones in the cat.
