18 x 24 acrylic on canvas.

This one has been on my easel for a long time. You may remember the small quick study I did of this version.

I focused on the color - pushing the tones to be more rich and chromatic.
I abstracted the shapes as well to try to downplay those and have the color be the bigger story.

I created a focal area by adding sunlight to some areas of the falls, and leaving others in shadow.

If anyone has any questions on this or any of paintings - how I painted it, what colors I used, etc. - please feel free to ask!

Hi Karen! It's always a great pleasure for me to explore your paintings. I'm impressed by your chromatism. Such subtle shades of greens and blues.

This is beautiful Karen.  The color of the water is lovely and the brush strokes to create the foliage...perfection.

Beautiful, beautiful, Karen. I love the colors - the purple in the sand the green and aqua in the water, the purple on the rocks and all the beautiful green foliage. Love the light on the falls!
