Autumn at Woods Lake

This one sat on my easel for quite awhile. I couldn't figure out what was bothering me about it. In the end, I decided that it was the reflections in the water. Had to remind myself that the lights should be darker and the darks lighter (thank you Karen!). Still not sure I got it perfect, but I feel that it is pretty close to what I was going for.

What a lovely painting, Corri.  There is a lot to admire about this one - the beautiful sky, lovely mountains, trees and water. I also like the way you handled the grass and flowers in the foreground. Beautifully done!
