Wonderful job capturing the light feel of the piece.  I think a wise person said that good art imitates life and great art captures it.  You have good life here,

Beautiful. Your use of blending and colors capture the softness of the skin and of course having such a lovely subject doesn't hurt either. I agree with Deborah that the sparkle in her eyes make it come to life.

Yes it is acrylic. I did some glazing with a medium and water to soften the transitions in value. Thank you for your analysis and kind comments. Capturing the personality of your subject makes portraiture a different art form than the landscape and still life painting I have been doing. Although all art is communication in one way or another, you are generally saying something about yourself, here it is another that you are attempting to reveal. Thanks again, I truly love your work.

This is a beautiful portrait of a gorgeous girl.  I love the light in her eyes.  Your skin tones are great and the soft blending is remarkable.  Is this acrylic?
