I used the side of a round bristle brush to create most of the grass and tree textures after watching Karen's layering video on Youtube. I was happy with the result :) Also I used a very limited palette, mixing greys with the three primaries, White and Ivory Black.

I really like the limited palette. And the ruts are very well executed. I have  walked along many and can feel it .Karen has asked at times to add -feelings to a paintings--Not sure why ,but your painting makes me feel like "longing'-first feeling that came to me. Guess it's like completing a journey .
